lonely because Sarah had built her coup right next to her mother's chicken coup.
There was a garden on the farm that Sarah's family used for canning
their own food and Sarah's job was to pick the bugs off of the beans, tomatoes,
and cabbage. She would take the bugs and put them into an old Mason jar. When
the jar was full of bugs, she took them to Maryanne's coup and fed the bugs to

help her lay eggs and keep her healthy. ...

Personal Writing: My Senior Prom
... face of its relative, the humble, dull,
green pepper. The darkened pieces of beef had visible hints of all purpose
seasoning and slivers of onions. The dull pink jumbo shrimp looked like
crescent moons, outrageously swollen, and just about ready to bust out of their
transparent, segmented shells.
The smell of hors d'oeurves served to whet the appetite of all in
attendance. The hickory smell of beef stood out to draw everyone near. The
shrimp had a salty smell with a hint of ocean water. The bell peppers, both
green and red, had a tart smell, compared to their fleshy counterparts. My
taste buds watered, but n ...

Personal Writing: First Day At Oxford High School
... I had to ride the big yellow tank called the school bus. I was very embarrassed to have to ride the bus, and when I think about it, I turned as red as a juicy apple.
When we promptly arrived at the school at 7:30 AM, I saw a thirty-foot tall brick building that looked like the size of two football fields put together. This made me even more nervous. Inside the gigantic school, I felt like a midget compared to the older kids, who seemed like giants. Finding the rooms where my classes were being taught was like solving a maze. The building had three stories and each level had over twelve classrooms. I h ...

Generic Letter On The Reduction Of Forests In Canada
... dollars. This logging company employs a third of the
island's work force of 1,500 people. This is just one company in Canada
which helps limiting our forests. There are many other corporations that
contribute in the mass enterprise. These corporations cause large clear
cuts in Canada today that would have been all forests some years ago.
It is well known that the decrements of the forests will leave us
without trees in the next few decades. It will also cause many wildlife
species to find a new environment to live and may cause climatical changes.
However, if we decide not to cut trees, our economy will s ...

The Year 2050
... Air pollution is at an
all time high due to our stupidity. We could have stopped the production of
cars and switched to HydroShoes, which run only off of water, like France
and Germany did, but politicians felt it would be too drastic a change.
Furthermore, President Bill Clinton decided to send all of our garbage into
space in 1996 instead of recycling when he introduced Project No-Garbage.
At first this was a good idea, but slowly, we noticed our atmosphere was
full of milk cartons and banana peels! To clean up this mess, the public

Advice I Often Receive From Parents
... accomplished something. This is
good because many kids have to live up to expectations that they can't
attain, or do something that they don't really enjoy in order to make their
parents proud.
The problem with saying "as long as you do you best" is that when I know
I could have done a better job, I have a sort of guilty feeling. I hate it
when I get a mediocre mark or fail in something and my parents say "as long
as you tried your hardest." It gets quite annoying when I second guess
myself about what I could have done. However, when I know I did the work
as well as I could and it isn't a good mark, I don't ...
