ways when he takes the coin from Little Gervais. After this immediate change
becomes evident, Valjean is shown as a "Christ figure" through the rest of
the book. Other characters are changed but only toward the end of the book.

master here or you?” For a little bit, Tybalt argues, but he very soon backs
down and lets Capulet have his way.
Perhaps the reason why this happens is because the “inferior” person is
somewhat intimidated by the “superior.” This intimidation that some of the
characters produce on each other shows that there is not a great deal of
communication in the family. Throughout Act I, there were several more
examples of characters yielding to others and not standing up for what they
believe. For instance, when Lady Capulet brought up the idea of Juliet marrying ...

Greek Actors
... than three speaking actors in the same seen), all three actors played multiple roles.
In modern literary criticism, the term protagonist refers to the central character of the play, not the actor. Since women were not allowed to take part in dramatic productions, male actors has to play female roles. The playing of multiple roles, both male and female, was made possible by the use of masks, which prevented the audience from identifying the face of any actor with one specific character in the play and helped eliminate the physical incongruity of men impersonating women. The masks with subtle variations also helped the ...

He’d of helped build up the country.’ ‘That’s true,’ I said, uncomfortably. (Pg. 164) Tom, who is at the other end of the rope, is very careless about what he says; he does not care if he hurts someone. ... way.
While there are many different types of prayers, the most common
type is a prayer of petition. These are prayers that ask God to do
something or to give something that are truly desired or needed. God
always hears every prayer that is lifted to the heavens. “The mills of the
gods...” can be interpreted as synonymous to God's constant hearing and
answering of the many prayers that come to Him. God weighs the
practicality of each prayer, always keeping in mind His master plan for
each person's life. He carefully considers these prayers in light of how
each alternative will affect the petitioner's life a ...

... storys was sucessful in making it readable in the sence of
comprehanceability and fluency.
The first story I will be discussing is called "The Jade Peony" by
Wayson Choy. I did not enjoy what this story was about nor did I enjoy reading
it. Luckly it was short, If It wasnt I doubt i would have made it throught the
whole thing. The main problem with this story was the inconsistance of the
sentences, some sentences were too long while others were very short. The only
way to truly fix this story would be to re-write it.
The second story I chose to write about is called "Horses of the Night"
