Macbeth: His Trust In The Witches

.... Cawdor has been killed for crimes against Duncan and he is named thane of Cawdor. "Glamis, and thane of Cawdor! The greatest is behind!" (I. iii,116-117). This fulfillment of the first part of the witches prophecies seals his trust in them and drives him to his next act, Duncan's murder, which is the act that seals his fate and ultimate doom.
