Greek Values In "The Odyssey"
Part 1 of Paper .... books reveal Greek values and culture. The novel includes many books within it. Each one tells more of the story of Odysseus' travels. As he travels, he talks to and encounters many Greek characters. Each character shows Greek culture and values such as respect to the Gods, hospitality, and fate.
The respect to.... Part 2 of Paper ....comes Odysseus disguised as the bedraggled stranger. He throws his own bedcover over a pile of boughs as a seat for Odysseus, who does not reveal his identity. Observing Zeus's commandment to be kind to guests, Eumaeus slaughters a prime boar and serves it with bread and wine. That night the hero sleeps by the fire under the swineherd's spare cloak, while Eumaeus himself sleeps outside in the rain with his herd.
