The Hypocrisy Of The Media
Part 1 of Paper ....ne on August 30, 1999, makes an attempt to support tabloid journalism in the name of good democratic process. His premise that candidate George W. Bush practices hypocrisy in his refusal to disclose his self described, “young and irresponsible escapades,” in light of the fact, that he sought, and was successful in.... Part 2 of Paper ....hemselves and their friends, as well as on the great mass of society.” He reasons, therefore, that Bush’s possible confession that he used cocaine when he was young should force him, his supporters and the rest of us to do some hard thinking.
What Mr. Taylor presents for his readers is actually a straw man. Arguments surrounding Bush’s, “unspecified young and irresponsible escapades,” and in light of his later stand on youthful penalties, and thus his supposed hypocrisy, are contrive.... |
