Falstaff Beer
Part 1 of Paper ....r premium beer. When prohibitioncame about Joseph Griesedieck purchased the Falstaff name and logo for $2000. He then reorganized his Forest Park Brewery Co. into the Falstaff Corporation. An intersesting note: Joseph's cousin's were also St. Louis area Brewers, with Stag and Griesedieck Brothers. Falstaff strugled t.... Part 2 of Paper ....staff closed the former Otto Stiffel brewery in St. Louis. In 1954 they bought the Bergoff Brewery in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. 1956 brought two more aquisitions a brewery in Galveston and the Mitchell Brewery in El Paso. The two ends of the Greisedieck family merged together in 1957. Greisedieck Brothers merged into Falstaff. Falstaff was able to close the old forest park Brewery.
