The Motor And How It Works
Part 1 of Paper ....th the power cords in each position. No matter the way the cords are hooked up, the same thing happens. I figured that the motor works by magnetizing the four tubes (solenoids). The current leaves the power supply and goes through solenoid 1. The current gives solenoid 1 a magnetic field. The current then goes thr.... Part 2 of Paper ....ve solenoids 2 and 3 a magnetic field that attracts 1 and repels 4 and visa versa.
The end result is that as 2 or 3 approaches 1 or 4, it is given a magnetic field that is opposite to that of 1 or 4. Therefore, the two are attracted to each other. As the moving solenoids line up with the other solenoids, the metal things on top of 5 reverse the current. That means that 1 and 4 now repel the rotating solenoids. That causes the middle solenoids to spin farther around. Now it's just another .... |
