The Photographs Of Margaret Bourke-White: A Review
Part 1 of Paper ....ret Bourke-White. I got this book from our library at Milwaukie.
In White’s early years she began as an industrial photographer, solving the problems of shooting pictures in the cavernous, black interiors of steel mills, she was one of the first foreign travelers to document the workings of the Soviet five-year plans.... Part 2 of Paper ....s in black and white because it looks neat. White also does a good job of shooting pattern samples. I would also like to try and take more pattern samples.
Two photographs that I enjoy are of an old man and a house in India. The first picture is titled, Too Weak to Stand, India, 1946. Under it states, “ When the rains come late, famine follows quickly in undernourished India. After the rice goes, even leaves and weeds become edible.” I love this picture because it shows so much detail, pover.... |
