Paul Edgecombe: An Excellent Character
Part 1 of Paper ....black and white, as some of King’s novels contain. He was not perfect, he had his faults, but he was someone who almost everyone respected, including the prisoners. He cared about his job and did it well.
Paul Edgecombe was my favorite character for many reasons. He was a kind-hearted man who cared about his job.... Part 2 of Paper .... relationship with all of them, except Percy of course. When they were planning to take John Coffey to help the wardens wife, he cared enough about Dean and the fact he had children to let him stay back at E Block so he would hopefully not get in as much trouble if they got caught.
Although it was his job to talk to the supposed convicts as they awaited their deaths, he cared when he talked to them, and especially when he talked to John. He went and sat with them and made them feel good, like.... |
