The Actions Of The Puritans Were Hypocritical
Part 1 of Paper ....s settled by a group of individuals considered to be enemies to the Church of England. These enemies were the Puritans. Under the rule of Queen Elizabeth, the Puritans thought that she did not succeed in ridding Catholic practices in the Church of England. Elizabeth and rulers to follow tried to silence the Puritans..... Part 2 of Paper .... Those who wanted to be a member of the government had to be a member of the Puritan religion. And that included the right to vote. You had to be male, own property, and part of the Puritan religion. The Puritans considered religious desinners and people who disagreed with them a threat. Religious beliefs were strictly enforced. Desinners such as Thomas Hooker and Roger Willams were forced to leave and form colonies of there own. Hooker started Hartford and Willams started Providence.
