The Beginning Of The Civil War

Then, in 1845, Congress allowed Texas into the Union. C.... Part 2 of Paper ...., which included slaves, since slaves weren’t human, according to the South.
There were three candidates in the election of 1848: Lewis Cass Martin Van Buren and Zachary Taylor. Cass was representing the democrats and was a man who believed in Popular Sovernty. Van Buren was nominated by the Free-Soil Party. Taylor was a war hero, a General from the Mexican War.
