The Life Of Henry Ford
Part 1 of Paper ....as greatly fascinated with machines. The first machine he designed was a waterpowered mill which consisted of a coffee grinder, a broom handle, and a wooden wheel he made that could be turned by moving water. He and several of his friends built a dam to supply water power to the wheel, which turned the broom handle,.... Part 2 of Paper .... saw how the slide valve controlled the steam. Shortly afterwards, as Henry and his father were going into town, they met a huge, steampowered vehicle on the road. Henry had his father stop so he could talk to the driver. The driver explained to him how the engine boiler and cylinder worked.
A year or two later, Henry fixed a broken watch that his friend had and soon after, everybody started bringing their broken watches to him. He fixed all of them for fun and never demanded anyone to pay.... |
