Sibling Rivalry
... brother may act violently toward his younger
brother in the absence of an adult. In such a situation there are different
theories about what to do. Some say that a parent should allow them to work
it out by themselves (unless the baby is too young). The instinctive
reaction is to scold the older brother and "baby" the younger brother. This
helps neither brother. The younger brother feels more dependent, which
damages his self-image, while it makes the older brother resent the
attention his younger brother receives even more.
In this situation my personal belief is that a person should calmly

... only come from a Spaniard,
someone who was bred in Spain, grew up in the culture, and lived the
experience.
As an American we are expected “ To put in a full days work for a full

projections of around 10 billion by the year 2050. Two billion of these are
extremely poor, the poorest of which live in absolute poverty and misery.
One very serious effect of the population explosion is its detrimental
effects on the global environment. Increasing amounts of food, energy, water,
and shelter are required to fulfill the needs of human society. Much of our
energy is derived from the burning of fossil fuels-releasing millions of metric
tons of toxins into the atmosphere annually. The amount of land required for
food production will grow increasingly larger, w ...

... in structured activities such as playing, eating and cleaning-
up. The family interaction is video-taped and later analyzed.
The researchers have developed a system which allows them to record
the effectiveness of parenting skills. They are particularly
interested in disciplinary strategies because abuse most commonly occurs
when the parent wants the child to comply. "It's a question of trying to
determine which type of parent produces which type of child or which
type of child elicits which type of parental behaviour," explains

Child Exploitation
... world does nothing.
As if the idea has not been beaten into our heads enough, but these children that are dying are our future. Organizations have been formed to make sure that we know this, and make sure that we protect our future. Yet, child camel jockeys are cheered on by these same organizations when they visit these regions. They concentrate on sweatshops while around the world people are literally getting away with murder. Our trust rests, supposedly safely, in these people’s hands in hopes that they will pick up the slack for the rest of society. Then we are shown these films and pictures and we wonder ...
