Going To The Beach
... my friends and I always
preferred to travel to wild places. After the complicated life of the big city,
with its intense traffic and polluted air, with its endless problems, union with
nature seemed to us the most worthwhile way to relax.
Getting prepared for the trip already made me excited. It was very
important not to forget anything. Finally, when all preparations were made, and
the cars loaded up, we, following our chosen route, dreamed of our coming
adventures. On that particular vacation, we had chosen a place named Blue Lakes.
It was really a place of wildlife. In the summer, the forest was
beautiful. It ...

Personal Writing: Attending College At MTSU
... afraid that I'm not qualify enough to enter a college in U.S. After I took the test a fourth time, finally I became eligible to apply for MTSU. I was so exciting and I felt as if my life has changed.
Through the difficulties of trying to enter college, I have come to understand that everything is not easy. Once, my father has taught me that ¡§ One reaps no more that what he has sown.¡¨ I have never understood that sentence until I have tried all my best to get into a college. So, I learned to treasure all the chances that I have.
Before I enter MTSU, I'm shy, and I do not talk very much in class. But after I ente ...

Down On The River
... The raft buckled under the force, and all of the sudden I was the only one left aboard, because everyone else was thrown out at impact. With my feet still securely anchored, and paddle in hand, I realized that I was in a precarious position as the raft was being thrown around like a rag-doll in the turbulent waters. I felt like a rookie on his first bull-ride, and thought to myself, “I have to act fast”. I did my best to scramble to safety, as I quickly jumped out and headed to the rocky shoreline in the distance. Then and only then, did I realize the grip of death I so narrowly escaped. I was lucky, but I ...

Personal Writing: Joining The Track Team
... interested. It gave me an opportunity to get in shape, meet new friends, and most of all to be active within the school. I was so psyched; I could not wait until Spring Training began.
So around the middle of March we formed the 1998 North East track team, and I had no clue what I was in store for. Coach Decker and Coach Burke called a meeting for us one Monday afternoon and explained to all of us the hard work and determination that it was going to take to be on the track team, they “would not tolerate anything but 110% from every single person,” and this I was willing to give. So I informed my boss at ...

Personal Writing: My Room
... room bunches fall into the
mind groups. For instance, I have school friends, and out of school
friends. There are also school papers, and note and letters from your
friends. This is because my mind makes my room.
Even though my walls cannot speak, if they were able to, they would
tell you many secrets and important event that took place in my life. Just
like the secrets in my room, my soul is filled with emotions and feelings.
My room captures the memories from birth till now. Even though I have not
lived in this room all my life, I keep the memories in my heart and they
show up in my room.

Personal Writing: My Dog Skippy
... Skippy chased us
like a Gray hound chasing the rabbit at a race track.
One time my mom took Skippy along to Golden on one of her visits to her
chiropractor. He ran his business out of his house that sat on a fairly large
piece of land. My mom felt it would be OK to let Skippy run around the
chiropractors land while she took her appointment. Later that evening my mom
came to pick me up at my friend's house. When I got in the truck she told me
Skippy never came back after her appointment. As we drove back to Golden to see
if my dog returned I remember thinking I would trade anything if I could only
have my dog ...

Personal Writing: My Most Memorable Experience
... as he
sat behind the car's steering wheel. We had already been on the road for
three hours now, and still not a peep out of anyone, except my youngest
siblings whom were frolicking around together with their toys in the back
of the car. My dad refused to stop for food until noon. It was 11:30, yet
30 minutes seemed like an awful long time and my stomach had been craving
something, anything, for at least an hour. The hunger was uncontrollable,
an almost eerie feeling, one you get before riding a roller coaster, came
to me. No one else seemed to complain, so I attempted to ignore the issue
by putting myself ...

Personal Biography Of Sean McEndree
... he and his family moved to Sacramento, California.
Being born two minutes apart, Sean and Lois had many experiences as a young child that influenced their lives or were very humorous. They found it amusing taking turns hurting each other, but in playful technique. They were periodically mistaken for the wrong gender. They never wore matching outfits and they looked differently. They frequently played together, careful not to leave one out. They had fights here and there, but never stayed mad for a long time. They cared for each other sincerely. They both joined soccer teams at the age of six or seven. And when ...

War Of The Leather-Orb: A Beowulfian Parody
... their body-coolants and stealing their body-chow.
Coachingwulf and Instructgar
On the seven thousand, three hundred and first moon-sun of the fate-foreseen morning of the helmet match, Coachingwulf, hero of the blues, spoke: "Well Instructgar, my orb-foe, you have spoke of many matches between us but failed to tell of the blue defeat of the orange bearers. It is I who unfalteringly derived the strategies to overpower your helmet-squad upon which you have failed to avenge.
Battle of the Orange and Blue

The Written Word Lives On
... travel so if I know no person at my destination I always have a friend
with whom old times are shareable. Family without friends never provided me
with enough company. Taking a walk with the dark elf Drizzt through the
shadowed halls of his city Menzobaeren inspired confidence in me even in the
solitude of a Hawaiian vacation. Calling reading just a hobby then does it
injustice. Adventure fits it more appropriately. Books sweep me into the
depths of imagination and let me share another persons dream while helping me
see mine. Piers Anthony taking me through his spellbinding Juxtaposition opened
my mind and rev ...
