Creative Writing: Sensory Writing
... a man on a loud intercom yells for the players to come out.
The roar of the people surrounding me is like being right behind the jet of
an airplane. The deafening noise makes me squint my eyes. I open them
though and stand of the lightly cushioned seat. I clap my hands along with
the other fans, and my hands feel greasy after just eating a hot piece of
pizza. My mouth still has the pasty, saucy taste of the slice in my mouth.
I look down towards the court where the players have now started shooting
baskets. Their brightly colored uniforms stand out in the glare of the
spotlights above. The court ...

Personal Writing: My Trip To Washington D.C And Arlington National Cemetery
... about the squad rants of
soldiers who inevitably lost their lives. What questions did they have
about the war in which they were fighting? Was their country worth dying
for? These questions will forever remain unanswered; however, their tombs
will permanently remain to remind generation after generation that some
things are worth fighting for.
Upon arriving home from my trip to Washington D. C, I realized how
lucky I am to have the opportunity to live and study freely in the United
States. If it had not been for the many soldiers who fought to keep the
United States a free country, who knows what the worl ...

“The Night”
... that I was staying at Scotts house and playing video games and watching movies for the night, Since Scott lives right down the street from Mandy. She believed me and allowed me to go, so it was a go for the weekend.
So the plan was on. My friends and I were to party this weekend. Finally Friday came but it seemed like an eternity. By the time I sat through six hours or boring nonsense at school, I knew the fun was coming, slowly but surely. I Finally got on my trip down to my buddy Scott’s house, it seemed like a long trip because I had to ride my bike there. But he lived right down the road so it wasn ...

Personal Writing: After "Casino"
... missed the car,
which was true. Just then his buddy from inside the car asks me if I have a
problem. I say no I don't but I would if there was pee on my car. What? He says.
I said it's cool, there's no pee on my car, it's pretty damn disrespectful to be
pissin' on someone's car.
And with that it was over I walked away with Ryan (who had joined me)
back to his car. On the way over to his car I mentioned to him how I wouldn't
have had that attitude with they guy if we hadn't seen that type of movie.
I guess the fellow in the car still thought I had a problem because he
pulled his truck up, got out, and got up in my ...

Creative Writing: Heroz
... inside Tower Two of
Lamron Castle.
Arrow making was not only a boring job but a very tedious one.
This story is about how the magic arrow makers turned their mundane
jobs into valuable and rewarding ones through self empowerment.
One day 3 of the workers, Art Halegiver (the shaft turner), Mac
(the head shaper) and Wendy (the wand waver) were having lunch and while
discussing their individual jobs, realized how unhappy they were with their
jobs.
They wondered what would happen if things didn't improve. How would
they take care of their families if everyone continued to leave Lam ...

Following A Dream Toward Freedom
... I have today. But what if they didn't? What if we were still having to
fight wars for our freedoms? I often wonder what slavery would be like? Looking
in todays society slavery is still the same nightmare it was then. People in
South Africa and Iran wake to this same nightmare everyday. They have no
personal rights or freedoms at all. Everyday they live in fear for their lives.
If its not being threatened by their own government its being threatened by the
lack of food they receive. Imagining the things they go through everday makes me
wonder about my freedoms. Why is it that I can go to my refrigerator wh ...

A Day At The Beach
... a mile away. Again I look out to the ocean which seems to stretch for
days in all directions. I am determined to reach it, no matter what sacrifices
I must make. I step forward again testing the sand, still white hot. I pull
my courage from the corners of my being and make a run for it. This isn't so
bad if I run really fast. The wind blows in my face, bringing with it that
smell, almost a taste of the ocean. It seems to be a combination of fish, salt,
people, and water all mixed into one. I continue to run until I reach the
water's edge where the waves crash upon the beach, making the white sand brown
and ...

Interview With A UFO
... told `em "I don't know much about takin' you to my leader but
they're fixin to meet their maker if they didn't get on out of here. Then
they made the ugliest fact at me and started talkin Japanese back and forth
at each other. All of a sudden I heard Bessie again, but when I looked over,
they zapped that poor ol' cow up to their hunk of metal spacecraft. I told
`em they better put her back or I was gonna call the UFO sightings hotline
on them like I did on all of their friends. I said " I know about all of
your tests you run on them poor animals like Bessie cause I've been
watchin' the X-Files on my big 10 inch blac ...

Never Trust A Man Who Wears Sunglasses At Night
... to the meeting first.
Always be sure the area is safe. Always be sure its a customer you're
meeting and not the police. He made his way towards the meeting place,
stopping only twice. Once, to kick a stray cat he saw walking in front of
him. Once, to grab a bottle of Jack Daniel's from the hands of a wino,
take a few swallows and throw the bottle away. He finished his initial
search of Central Park and found nothing unusual. he completed his second
search of the area, again finding nothing out of the ordinary. Now the
waiting began. Vlad was experienced in waiting, one had to be in this
profession. exactly a bl ...

My First Airplane Trip
... so scared of getting on an airplane. A couple of hours after the call, I knew the only decision I could make was to call the airline and get tickets.
After calling the airline, my boyfriend and I were on our way to the airport. During the ride to the airport I was so nervous, I felt my knees shaking, my palms were sweaty, and my heart was racing. By the time we were in line to get our boarding passes, I knew I had to go through with it, there was no turning back then. When we boarded the plane, I thought I was going to get sick. The flight was booked solid, and to make matters worse, my boyfriend couldn't sit ne ...
