Help With Arts and Theater Papers
Movie: The Paper Chase
... more than the "easy street" they've been riding in high school.
The movie teaches that you need to be able to put up with the arrogance
of the rich and uppity people that attend an Ivy League school. They are very
expensive and most students come from wealthy families.
"The Paper Chase" teaches the viewer that law school is very stressful;
it is a way of life not just going to school; and you must have what it takes
just to survive law school.
The things I liked most about Mr. Kingsfield was well organized, and
that he was a difficult teacher. Difficult teachers usually make you learn for
yourself.

The Crucible: Witchcraft
... reason.
People in the town accused people of witchcraft for many things.
They basically accused them for doing weird things. There were some girls
that would do a lot of weird things in the town. For example when Abigail
drank the blood, people thought that she was a witch so they would accuse
her of being a witch. The townspeople accused people of being a witch
mostly because of this reason.
Another big reason that someone would be a witch is that they did
not like that person or they were just scared of them. Sometimes if you saw
someone walking and they looked funny or just doing something bad y ...

The Silence Of The Lambs
... was younger, she witnessed the slaughtering
of a herd of lambs and to this day she awakens horrified some nights to escape
the nightmares that she so longs to end. She believes deep down that if she
catches Buffalo Bill herself she will sleep soundly in the silence of the lambs.
My first interpretation of Clarice was that she was very bright and
observant. She reads people very well and is quick to make an accurate
judgement, as in with Frederick Chilton, the prison warden. I believed that she
was a very strong woman and was very careful to appear that way to others.
Clarice Starling did have a large change ...

Analysis Of The Movie Contact
... says "This time is unique
in our history, in any civilization's history: the moment of the
acquisition of technology. The moment when contact becomes possible." The
movie explores many aspects of making "contact" with aliens. It explores
the religious implications of such an event as well as the faith that one
has to have afterwards. It is ironic that Arroway falls back on faith to
believe her journey took place upon her return after having shunned faith
that others had in God before. The movie did not deal with the Cold War
politics that Sagan's book dealt with mainly because of the release date of
this movie. ...

Romeo And Juliet: Chance And Its Role
... cars around corners without
thinking twice. They believe that if there is a car around that corner,
then it was fated to happen and they would still die if they were going the
speed limit. I believe that Romeo & Juliet dug there own holes with bad
decisions.
Chance plays a major part in the story. Everything starts in the
very beginning when Montegue and Capulet servants just happen to cross
paths in a public place. This is a chance meeting. Coincidence cannot be
involved now because it is too early in the story. Also by chance, the
servants are talking of their hatred of the other family and there

Nell
... about twins. The loss of one had a dramatic effect on the other.
They had their own twin speech and their own games. At the end of 20 plus years,
Nell still felt the loss of her twin sister.
2) The expert psychologist in the movie believed that Nell was mentally
retarded and had made a small amount of intellectual development as a result of
being raised in seclusion. Fortunately, they were wrong. The speech that Nell
gave in the courtroom proved that she had developed intellectually. While the
language that she used was different, Nell still gave a good list of very
abstract ideas that someone who is ment ...

Reflections On Ipi Ntombi
... beginning of the second act takes place in a city. There are tall skyscrapers, buses and honking taxis. The young man has returned to the city with the news that the wedding is off. Most of the men are in suits and have hats on their head. The women have dresses. The music has dramatically changed, from the beating of the native drums, to some more modern off-beat jazzy tunes. The instruments included horns, woodwinds, and other modern musical instruments. The paved road and closed space of the modern city is very different from the open tropical forests of the Zulu tribe.
The start of the their act is in ...

Othello: Shakespeare's Most Tragic Play
... like, Seeing you come.'” (Shakespeare 105). He shows disrespect
to Desdemona in front of other people. “'Devil' he strikes her ‘I have not
deserved this.'” (141). Othello changes even more dramatically because of the
poison suggestions that Iago has given him. He goes out of control and
eventually kills Desdemona thinking that she has did something wrong.
Othello has many tragic flaws. He is a really gullible person, for
example he was tricked by Iago; thinking that Desdemona was really having an
affair with Cassio. “ ` Did he confess it?'” (134). He trusts Iago too much
and totally reli ...

Romeo + Juliet: An E Ticket Ride
... with the story at all times through
various cinematic techniques and tricks which make understanding Shakespeare fun,
interesting, fresh and easy.
Visually dynamic, and edited with a sense of urgency, most movie-goers will
get caught up in the story and forget that they are listening to the Bard. It
is Shakespeare's words and text, however, the sights and sounds are as clearly,
possibly overshadowing, telling the same parallel story. One could say that
there are visually emotional subtitles throughout the movie directing the
audience to understand and engage in the most famous love story in an entirely

Hamlet And Gertrude: Love Or Hate
... university due to his over whelming despair,
Hamlet is trapped by his loving parents and not allowed to leave Denmark until
certified well. It is at this time he receives word from his friend Horatio that
the spirit of his father has returned and walks the night. During the
Elizabethan period of English literature, man and nature were thought to be
linked as part of a "great chain of being". To Hamlet, the fact that his father
had returned showed that this chain had been disrupted by some evil in the world
of man. That he had returned as a ghost could mean only one thing, his death was
not an accident. The ghost b ...
